Those, along with real life events have lead me into some serious contemplation. Unfortunately, these aren't just thoughts that come and go, they are extremely persistent. So much so, that I have had issues getting to sleep because of the thoughts racing inside my head. Because these thoughts refuse to go away, it leads me to believe that either I have some things to work on in my life, although don't we all, or that I need to finally write them down so they can leave my thoughts, or at least leave long enough to allow me to get to sleep faster.

Keeping a journal for me is a big fat FAIL! As many times as I have tried to write regularly, I find that there ends up being long 4-8 month gaps in between each entry. I am not a whole lot better at keeping up blogs, but the gaps are at least a little shorter than 4-8 months.

Long story short, in an effort to "put thoughts down on paper" I am going to start using this blog, not only for updates on our lives, but to share some of my thoughts. Feel free to read if you wish and I certainly welcome any comments or input.

School+Work+Moving=UGH!

Actually it equals stress and the desire to pull ones hair out. Kyle started back to school last week, I can't believe he is already a 2L, and if all goes according to plan, he only has 3 semesters left before he graduates. Yippee! I have stayed busy with work both at the law firm and the graphic design. Those things alone keep us busy, let alone adding additional health problems and moving.

We are moving into a house on September 1st (or that weekend pretty much) I am so excited to be done with apartment life and the hassle it brings but nervous as well. With an apartment, you have the comfort of maintenance and the office staff (however incompetent they are) just a short walk away. Even though we are renting the house, we are still taking on so much more than we have had in an apartment. It will be so nice though not having an 80lb elephant stomping around above us, or neighbors below who like to fight and make up, both loud enough to wake you up at 3 a.m., not having someone constantly parking in our covered spot, or blocking it with a U-Haul. Best of all is we will finally be done with the idiots that run this place!

On to bigger and better things and the new adventures our life brings!

Family Fun Night!

A few months ago, Kyle's family started having Family Fun Night. Once a month, the whole family gets together to enjoy time together. We take turns planning the events.

April was our first month in which we got together for dinner and volleyball (sorry no pictures).

Last month we took a camping trip.

The camping trip turned out to be quite the experience for Kyle and I. We had borrowed the tent and air mattress from my parents. Once we arrived at the campsite, we took the tent out of its box and laid it out in the spot we wanted to set up at. We then discovered that the poles to put the tent up had not been returned to the box the last time the tent was used (probably more than 5 years ago) Fortunately, Bryan and Brittany had a 10 person tent and offered to let us room with them along with Courtney and Chase. In the late afternoon, Kyle went and aired up the air mattress inside the tent. A few hours later when it was time to go to bed, we come to the cruel realization that the air mattress has a leak in it, oh and we didn't clear the land before hand, after all we had an air mattress. Needless to say, despite the fun time we had with the family, we were glad it was only for one night.

This month was our turn to plan family fun night and we decided to take advantage of our apartment pool. I have to say, I think it turned out quite well. We didn't get to use the huge pool at the front of the complex...dang college parties. However, we used the one closest to our apartment and had great views of the lake and the golf course and had the whole pool to ourselves.

It was sure fun watching the kiddos. However, since setting up my online store, my business no longer requires as much of my attention. I have been going crazy at home. After all, there is only so much cleaning, dishes, and laundry that needs to be done. I decided that since my health has been increasingly better, it was time to get out of the house and find a new adventure. I started applying for some jobs and was offered 3. 1 was for a Marketing/Administrative Manager, another was a Member Services Rep at a Credit Union and last was a Legal Assistant. Can you guess which one chose?

After a lot of thought, prayer, and discussion, Kyle and I decided that the best option was to take the Legal Assistant position. I started about a month ago and I LOVE it. It was absolutely the right decision. I work for a great LDS attorney in a very laid back firm. I have already learned so much which is exactly what I was wanting. I love that I get to learn some of the same things Kyle is learning in school. The skills I am already learning and will continue to learn will come in so handy when editing Kyle's papers, not to mention help in understanding more than half the things Kyle says haha. The attorney I work for as well as the other two attorneys in the office are so interested in how Kyle is doing in school, they constantly ask questions and offer advice and are willing to sit down and talk or answer any questions he might have.

I work Monday-Wednesday 8-4 which I think is a great part time schedule. Who can argue with a 4 day weekend? I am so blessed to have 2 jobs that I LOVE and am looking forward to learning even more in this new job.

Kyle also has a new adventure. Besides for summer school he is now volunteering at the Community Legal Services in downtown Mesa on Tuesday and Thursdays. Hopefully this turns out to be a good experience for him.

School is out...ok maybe not completely

Kyle finished his first year of law school and is officially a 2nd year law student....that means another year closer to being done! He has worked so hard and I could not be more proud.

Finals were beyond stressful for him and were only at times stressful for me, like when I am helping edit his 12 page paper at the very last minute and telling him "you have 1 minute left before you have to upload your paper!" Yes I had to watch the clock very carefully as he frantically tried to decrease the word count of his paper before the 6:00 deadline.

He was very blessed to find a great group of guys to be apart of a study group from the very beginning and I am so thankful for that. As a group, they decided to take a summer class so they could help each other through it. They are taking Evidence which is Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5p.m.-9p.m. for the next 7 weeks. At first I really didn't think much of it, after all its only Tuesday and Thursday nights right? WRONG! I am glad it will only last 7 more weeks because I do not enjoy him being gone until 10 (by the time he gets home)

We have been discussing whether or not Kyle should take a couple intersession courses and graduate early thats my vote :) It would not allow as many breaks from school but it would mean that he would graduate in December of 2012 instead of May 2013 which also means taking the Arizona State Bar in February instead of June.

I would like to think we took advantage of Kyle being out of school for a couple weeks, but really I think we were mostly just lazy and enjoyed our time together. I know Kyle enjoyed not having to read 20+ cases a week.

Wow, 6 months...really?

I can't believe I haven't posted in 6 months. I kept telling myself I should but then realized I didn't have much to post about. Now that I have put it off so long, there is plenty to tell.

Kyle's first semester of law school was very busy and full of hard work. He really has enjoyed it so far and despite him being gone to school and even mentally gone when he is home (study time) I have enjoyed him being in school. There is no doubt that we made the right choice for us by going to Phoenix School of Law. It has been a great school so far and Kyle is really enjoying it. He has gotten involved in different clubs such as Family Law, Real estate, and the J Reuben Clark Law Society. We had the privilege of attending a function for the J Reuben Clark Law Society which had a panel of judges discussing law and religion. It was so much fun. I got to meet 2 of Kyle's friends that are part of his study group along with their wives. Finals time was not as enjoyable since it took Kyle away even more than usual but it was worth it in the end when we learned that Kyle had done very well on his all his finals. He got the highest grades among his study group and now ranks 55 out of 230 in his class. I could not be more proud of him.

Back in late fall, we found out that my insurance was going to pay for a breast reduction. This was amazing! It is very uncommon for insurance to pay for a breast reduction especially paying for the whole thing (didn't cost us a cent) A breast reduction was something that I had talked to many doctors about and the majority had told me there was no way to get insurance to pay for it so I might as well not even try. My new doctor agreed that it most likely wouldn't happen but was willing to send a note to insurance explaining that it was medically necessary. He also sent me to a plastic surgeon to get her opinion. That appointment was somewhat disappointing and a big eye opener. She thought I was a great candidate for breast reduction but with such a great family history of breast cancer she wanted me to get genetically tested for breast cancer. Her recommendation was to consider a mastectomy with reconstructive surgery if the testing came back positive. I couldn't believe that I was having to consider that at such a young age. After a great deal of thought, we decided to just go ahead with a breast reduction and to cross the cancer path later on down the road if it came our way. I had the surgery on the 14th on January. I never felt nervous. In fact, I more felt nervous about the fact that I wasn't nervous (if that makes any sense) Surgery went very well with no complications. I stayed in the hospital over night and was released early afternoon the next day. The last 6 weeks have been long but have flown by at the same time. I have had many restrictions such as no cooking, cleaning, any physical activity, and not lifting anything over 10 pounds. I did end up having a bad reaction to the medical tape and then a reaction to the neosporn that was used to heal the reaction to the tape. That caused some other issues which put my recovery a little behind. It took forever for my stitches to dissolve and the ends to pop off. Despite that, this surgery has truly been a miracle for me. The second I got out of the recovery room I no longer had the shoulder muscle

pain I have always had due to having a large chest. The headaches have significantly decreased. Overall I just feel BETTER and for me that is huge. The fact that old clothes fit and I can get into smaller sizes is just an added bonus :)

We are looking forward to 2011. So far we have been blessed to have our new nephew Ryder Nelson Gibson come into the world on Feb. 1st. He is absolutely adorable!

On Feb. 17th the last of the Packer siblings, Bryan, was married in the Mesa Temple to Brittany Campbell. This also means that we have a new niece. Emma. We couldn't be happier to have them in our family.

This summer we will have another handsome bundle of joy join the Packer family. Kyle's older sister Tiffany and her husband Adam are expecting their 3rd baby boy due July 4th.

BUT WAIT! Kyle's oldest brother Jason and his wife Stephanie are also expecting their 3rd child in mid October.

Our nieces and nephews are always the cutest and we can't wait to meet the 2 new cutest additions to the Packer family.

We had the opportunity to go up to Seattle for Bryan and Brittany's wedding reception. We enjoyed our vacation surrounded by family. However, the next time we go to Washington it will be late spring or summer. It was way to cold! We went to the temple grounds which were beautiful and covered in snow.

We also went to the Space Needle which had awesome views and about 60mph winds!

I am glad to be home though and am excited to be able to return to my "normal" activities. We had only 1 school left to hear from. After trying to check his application status online and getting locked out, Kyle decided to call the school. He was told that his password had been reset and oh by the way...YOU'RE ACCEPTED!!!!! We were seriously so excited.

This whole process (school, graduation,LSAT(twice) and applying to schools) has been so frustrating and a hard trial of patience. I am so proud of my husband. He has overworked himself with school, internship, and taking care of me. He does such a great job.

One of the most difficult things about the last few months has been the unknown. The feeling like you have no control over the next stage in your life. Being accepted has given us that feeling of control back. Our first instinct was of course to go...after all, this is what we have been waiting for. However, we decided we wanted peoples advice and opinions on the school and most importantly, we wanted to continue to pray and receive guidance from our Heavenly Father. I have enjoyed hearing other people's opinions. Some have given there opinion in a "This is what you need to do" tone and others have done so in a "Here are some things to think about tone" For future reference, the later tone is much more appreciated :) We understand that everyone's own personal experience affects their opinion. It seems that a concern is the job market and we keep being told that it will be difficult for Kyle to find a job right now....right now. It is tough for anyone to find a job...right now. We understand that things may be difficult when Kyle graduates. However, no one can predict what the job market will be like. We have done a great amount of research on this law school as well as many other law schools. We have also talked to those that are in the specific field and office that Kyle hopes to work at. The majority of those have been positive and given us more confidence in our decision. We understand what we are getting into and know that by following the direction of the spirit that things will work out...that doesn't mean there won't be trials, but it will work out and we will grow from our experiences. So as of now, and unless the spirit tells us otherwise, Kyle will be starting at I am so excited to start this next phase in our life and so proud of my wonderful husband!

I love him...and I love the life I have with him.

Waiting Patiently...not!

I have been putting off updating in hopes that each new day we might hear news on law school. No such luck. It has been almost 4 months since Kyle has applied to Phoenix School of Law and we still have yet to hear. After about 10 weeks, Kyle called and found out his application was on hold for no apparent reason. They removed it from being in a hold status to a being reviewed status. The web site claims that a decision will be made in 3-4 weeks....unless they are backed up. I'm not really a patient person, especially when it feels like life is on hold until further notice. Kyle re took the LSAT in the beginning of June and just received his score back which thankfully was higher! Before the test, he asked his dad for a blessing and what a great blessing it was. He was told that this fall may not be the right time for him to start law school and if that was the case we would be blessed to know why. As frustrating as that was to hear, it is so comforting to know the Lord has a plan for us. I look forward to learning what he has in store for the future.
In the meantime, I am continuing to try and expand my graphic design business...any referrals are welcome and appreciated! Kyle has finished his internship with the Mesa City Prosecutor's Office which means he is officially graduated! He is going to continue to volunteer there part time and is also looking for a job in case he does not get into law school this fall.
My health continues to get better. I return to the endocrinologist and the ob/gyn in 3 weeks and am hoping to hear that my thyroid levels are finally under control and that my medication does not need to be increased. I have been experiencing the same choking feeling that I had before (when they found the nodule on my thyroid) I am hoping there are not any new nodules. I really don't want another biopsy. I also saw a new hand surgeon who is incredible and read me like a book. Including things not in my medical report. It was weird! He is sending me to get an MRI done on my hand before decided what to do. I can't wait for the day the my health is back to "normal"
As for other news, my Grandpa got married last Saturday. I am so glad he is happy again. His wife LaRue is such a sweetheart! She is so talented (plays the violin, piano, flute, and accordion) I look forward to playing duets with her on the violin and piano.
We are excited for our upcoming trip to San Diego with Kyle's family. Vacations with them are always so fun and we could really use a vacation! We are leaving bright and early this Sunday morning and coming home on Wednesday.
Hopefully we will have something of importance to post soon. As for now, "that's all folks"

I used to love spring break...

I used to love spring break, especially after I got married and realized how insane Kyle's schooling was (after that I loved any break) It gave me one week to have my husband back! I miss him terribly during the semester. This semester has thankfully not been such a heavy homework load like last semester. However, to make up for the lack of homework, he is interning at the Mesa City Prosecutors Office. He loves it there, they are loving that he is back, and I'm just loving all the opportunities its presenting to him as well as the relationships he is building...it will really come in handy after law school. Speaking of law school. We still do not know where we will be. We are playing the waiting game to see where he is accepted. He has applied to Phoenix, Oregon, and Virginia. We would prefer Phoenix by far! Cross your fingers and say a little prayer!
My schooling is......BORING! I didn't know it was possible to be so bored in a class. Don't get me wrong, its not boring because I hate the subject or the teacher. Its boring because this is a class I should have been able to test out of...had someone in the art department answered the phone when I called, or returned my call. I do enjoy the fact that it is an easy class and I can have fun with some of the projects...that is when its not an art review for artists I don't care much for :( I am very much looking forward to next semester when I take the "harder" classes. I am continuing my own self education in the field of graphic design. I much prefer the self taught method as that is how I have come to this point so far. My goal is to become Adobe Certified in at least Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. I'm hoping to take it further and get into animation and website design. I have the software but haven't stretched myself that far yet.

On April 2nd Kyle and I are taking a trip to Utah with Kyle's sister and her husband and Kyle's brother. We have tickets to Saturday afternoon session as well as priesthood for the boys (girl shopping time) We will also be going to Kyle's mission reunion. Yay! I am so excited!

This is getting lengthy so a brief update on health and I'm headed to bed. The rheumatologist did lots of blood work which came back normal (YAY!) that means that its more likely to be fibromyalgia(not yay) but because of my age the doc did not want to do medication (YAY!) My dosage of synthroid was raised and hopefully for the last time. They said there is still some inflammation and hopefully a higher dosage will fix that. I have been taking so many vitamins along with prescriptions and am finally seeing results(another YAY!) My energy levels are up and muscles are doing better. I still have the occasional bad headache but other than that not to bad. We joined a gym since my energy levels are up. Hopefully now that I am on the correct meds loosing weight will no longer be impossible. I am so grateful to finally be on the track to better health! Its been such a long, draining, and very trying journey. Every time I have a trial in my life, I look for what lesson the Lord is trying to teach me. Most every time the answer is patience....I guess I'm not a fast learner.

That's it for tonight. I hope everyone is doing well. I'll try and update more often!

Life since school started

So far so good! Kyle doesn't seem to have as much reading homework as he did last semester which is SO nice! He did have to switch out of his Geology class because the teacher had decided that in addition to 1 hour of class on Tuesdays and 1 hour of class on Thursdays, she wanted an extra hour of class online not including countless homework assignments. All this for a intro to Geology class! He was able to switch into an intro to Astronomy class which so far has been much better. The only problem with that class is that a lab is required and main campus (which is where Kyle's classes are) does not offer the lab at all. So, Kyle will have the class on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then on Wednesday nights he has to go out to Glendale for the Lab.
My class is also Wednesday nights and so far....I've been bored out of my mind!!! The teacher is covering things that in my opinion should be taught in a computer 101 class, not a computer graphics class. It is nice being back in school though, even if its only for 1 class. I am taking institute on Mon. and Wed. mornings.
My business is slowly starting to pick up...YAY! I've been getting a few clients here and there. I'm looking into doing more advertising and would LOVE all the referrals I can get.
Its not much of an update but that's it for now!

To many emotions for words...or faces

Lets see if I can find pictures of all the faces that reflect how I am feeling.

In 76 hours it will officially be the start of a new semester and a farewell to my husband for the next 5 months until school is out for the summer. Last semester was a little better in the sense that Kyle got to be home Monday, Wednesday, and Friday but was doing homework all day into the night, at least I still got to see him. So this is my worried face, worried that I won't get to see my husband nearly as much as I want to and worried about how his last semester at ASU will go. We know he will have a ton of homework and on top of that he is doing an internship at the Mesa Prosecutors office. This is my thankful face (all I could find) thankful that he got a great internship, in a familiar environment with people who are so excited to have him back.
This would have to be my annoyed look. I am slightly annoyed because I was all signed up for school. I’m taking it slow this semester as to not over stress my body. I had my schedule planned out with an institute class before my Intro to Computer Graphics class. The other day I went on the MCC website only to learn that I had been dropped from my class without any prior warning. Since all the morning and afternoon classes are now filled, I am stuck with taking the class on Wed night from 7:00-9:00. I will still take my institute class on Mon. and Wed. morning. This would be my excited face because even though I don’t have the schedule I would like, I am excited to start school again.

I am not one to write when I am upset (I don’t think it’s a good idea) and I’m not horribly upset, maybe more like frustrated and disappointed. So here is that face I LOVE my friends!!!! I would do almost anything for them and I have always been one who wants to help as much as I can and usually I don’t care what happens to me and my feelings in the process. I am realizing though that as much as I want to stand in holy places, I need friends who are willing to stand with me in holy places. I need uplifting, positive, mature friends who will be a good influence to me. Lately I have been feeling like some of the friends closest to me are drifting away to a place where they can not be surrounded by the spirit and in this process, I am subject to their…not so pleasant…words. When this happens, what do I do? Should I be patient? Should I think of myself and how those things affect me? If that’s the case, do I stop being friends with them? I love being a shoulder to cry on, the person that my friends feel comfortable coming to with their problems. I WANT TO HELP! Unfortunately I have become frustrated after having SO many friends come to me with marital and life problems. Mostly I am frustrated that people in difficult situations seem to just want to vent and vent and vent some more but never want to CHANGE THEIR SITUATION! I am all for taking control and changing your situation if your not happy. Friends please don’t get the wrong idea. I love you and I want you to still come to me. However, I would love it if first if you knelt down and had a heart to heart with your Heavenly Father.
Once again, here is my thankful face. I am so thankful for those friends that are good influences in my life, who are such a joy to be around, and to those that let me vent to you every once in a while. Most importantly I am thankful to my husband who is the world’s greatest listener! He is always so calm and thinks things through (even if it takes 20 min) before giving me advice. I LOVE YOU KYLE!

Amazing New Photographer

I just discovered this new amazing photographer. He is so easy going and doesn't need much to make him happy. For Christmas I wanted to get him something besides just clothes and maybe some shoes that he could use. I wanted to get him something that he might be excited about. What did I decide to get him? I got him the Star Wars Clone Wars Wii game and a lightsabre to hook up to the remote. I'm pretty sure he was excited and surprised. I am not one for video games (besides the Wii sports) in fact, I pretty much despise them and think that most of them are just...disgusting (because of all the violence and horrid language) However, Star Wars is not disgusting and he has been working so hard in school I thought he could use something fun to do. He certainly seems to be enjoying it, like a little child. I think that I might have to put a time limit on him...but his play time is also my play time with my new graphics tablet and well...I'm having to much fun playing with it :)
Christmas this year was a new experience. I am not used to having a white Christmas. Kyles family takes turns going up to Show Low with the Walkers and this was our year. It was fun even though we were missing 4 special members of the family. The hit present this year was by far the Nerf guns that Tristen, Kaden, Bryan, Chase, and Courtney all got. We took turns having a battle right there in the house. I have never seen my father in law and brother in law get so into something. They are both very laid back men but with those Nerf guns in their hands, they became like little children. It was very fun to watch and be a part of.
We celebrated Christmas with my parents on Christmas eve night before leaving. I wasn't expecting anything since I had assumed my presents were the clothes I had gotten earlier that week. Kyle surprised me with a $10 gift card to Target which he had won in a white elephant game at the family party. He had put it in a jewelry box to tease me. After teasing him for re-gifting, he pulled out the real box. Inside was a BEAUTIFUL pair of diamond earrings which was totally unexpected. I found out on Christmas that there was yet another present that was waiting at his parents house. I'm learning how sneaky my husband can be when it comes to surprises. He had bought me a shelving unit for my shoes! I know it doesn't sound all that exciting but since we have moved, my shoes have been in a huge box in the garage. It really means so much because of the thought that went into it. He knows how much I love my shoes and how many I have. Thank you Kyle!
I don't know that I was looking forward to Christmas this year, mostly because its the first year without my Grandma. I have always only known one grandma which I considered to be one my very best friends. This year was different without her but I am glad that I was not completely without a Grandma. Kyles Grandma is such a sweetheart and holds such a special place in my heart. I am grateful we were able to be near her for Christmas, it helped make Christmas just a little easier.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Happy Holidays!

I finally have my husband back and it is WONDERFUL! its like getting to know him all over again lol. School this last semester has taken so much of his time that even when he was home, he wasn't really home. Winter break is only a month but I look forward to spending time with him! I'm hoping that school next semester won't be as bad as this semester but it probably will be. On top of his classes he will most likely be doing an internship as well. This is his last semester at ASU. Part of me wants to shout for joy, then I remember that he will start Law School and that will worse than ASU! Only 3 years and we are done! Thank goodness!! As for now, we will enjoy our brief time together and with family during the holidays.

Health news is not much. My doctor is getting as frustrated as I am with not finding a solution. He has me try Savella, a medicine for fibromyalgia, after about 10 days and getting worse instead of better, he said to stop taking it. That doesn't mean that fibromyalgia isn't an issue. However, this medicine is specifically designed for fibromyalgia so the fact that it didn't work might be a good sign. We are really hoping that I dont have Fbromyalgia. The doctor has decided to send me to a rheumatologist to have tests done. I'm waiting for the referral to come in and the sooner the better. I went back and saw my OB/GYN, I'm getting as frustrated with her as I did with me first doctor. My visits with her are a complete waste of my time. I go in, I wait, wait, wait, she comes in and basically says "How are you doing?" "Alright"....silence....silence....(I am ALWAYS having to start the conversation)..."I stopped taking my medication because of the side effects, I'd like to know my other options" "That and birth control is your only option"...silence...I asked her about another medication that I had read about that can be used for PCOS. her response..."That medicine helps you ovulate which would help you get pregnant and I don't think pregnancy is right for you right now." Now if my primary doc had said this to me it would have been because he knows my health situation completely. However, I don't think he would ever say this to me. Whats her excuse though is what I want to know. She never asks how the pain because of the cysts are, she doesn't want to do an ultrasound to see if they are growing or shrinking. She sits in her chair, staring at me like I'm the doctor and should be diagnosing myself. Then when I bring up the pain that always happened on my lower right side (which has the most cysts) she says...no its not the cysts, just a muscle pull...I'd like to know something though, is the HORRID pain I go through for a week during the month a muscle pull to? I asked her what else I could do to keep the PCOS under control and relieve the pain. Her response..."hmmmm......exercise? weight loss?" GREAT I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be able to go and exercise. I would love it even more if I could loose the weight that these stupid health problems have caused me to gain. So I kindly remind her that exercising is very hard and weight gain is also brought on from PCOS. She (like always) just says to get my thyroid under control. She is always just trying to pawn me off onto the endocrinologist. My thyroid is getting under control, it is a slow process but its getting there, now I would just like if my doctor was willing to help me get the PCOS under control. whew...sorry that was a long update after all :)

Other news, Kyles sister got married in late October...has it been that long since I updated? It was a beautiful day for a wedding. Courtney looked so gorgeous! She married Chase Gibson ( Chase and I went to junior high and high school together, him in band, me in orchestra) He is a great guy and so perfect for Courtney. We also have gotten all moved in at my parents house, still trying to get everything organized but so far so good.

I am designing advertisements for my Timeless Designs business. Since I can't hold an everyday job my only hope is my graphic design and Primerica. I would prefer to have more graphic design work than anything else so if anyone knows anyone who is needing something done, please send them my way. It would be so appreciated!

That's all the updates for now, Happy Holidays if I don't post before then!

Such is life

By updating the blog, I am again putting off what really needs to be done...more packing! This weekend we are moving :( Its a sad time because we absolutely love where we live! We will be moving into my parents house for a few months until we know where we will be for Law School.
I went back to the doctors the end of last month and ended up having to have a biopsy done because the stubborn nodule was still there. Luckily it hadn't grown very much at all. I have really grown to hate needles after so many time of having blood work and then the biopsy. We got those results back and thankfully there is no cancer! YAY!! That was something I was so so nervous about! They are doing more blood work to see if there are anymore problems. The doctor was concerned that maybe my body was converting the T3s into T4s like its suppose to. I haven't heard back yet on those results. I'm hoping they find something so that we will have an explanation as to why I am not seeing much progress in feeling better. However, more problems means more medicine I have to take and I'm already up to 4 pills a day.
Kyle is still overwhelmed with homework. Mondays and Wednesdays are his days off of school but he is still doing homework from morning till night-sometimes into early the next morning. I know I am excited for this semester to end and I am sure he is to. Hopefully he will enjoy his classes next semester more. Unfortunately, the classes this semester have been awful which makes doing the homework more of a chore.
This last weekend we had a chance to go up to Flagstaff and ride the Polar Express train with Kyles family. I love that his family is so close, family vacations with them are always so fun. I'll post pictures from the trip when I get them. In the mean time, I had better get back to packing...

Long time no update...

I decided that today is the day of updating! I updated the business blog. I also created a fan page on Facebook for it so if your on Facebook, I would ask that you become a fan...pretty please?

As far as updates go, Summer came and went way to fast and now I've lost my hubby to school again. This semester is worse then last. Kyles classes require him to read about 250 pages a week with multiple discussion posts and essays on top of that. On top of all the reading, he was studying for the LSAT which he took on Sep. 26th, as well as participating more in class so that his professors will get to know him more and then could possibly provide letters of recommendation for law school. We had our choices of where we would like to go to law school down to AZ, OR, and VA. Our 1st choice being AZ. After 3 long weeks of waiting Kyle finally received his score and it looks as though we will get to stay in AZ. YAY!

So the last time I updated, I had been sick for a while with no clue as to what was wrong with me. Since then, I have changed doctors because the last one was getting no where. The new doctor sent me to the endocrinologist and obgyn. Its been determined that my Thyroid levels are very low as well as my vitamin d levels. I have also been diagnosed with PCOS (poly cystic ovary syndrome) The first time to the endocrinologist they did an ultrasound and found it to be enlarged with a weird pattern but there were no nodules which is a great thing. However, the last time they did another ultrasound and found a nodule. I will go back on Oct.26 and if it is still there then they will do a biopsy of it...EEK! They have me on synthroid, metformin, vitamin d, and an anti inflammatory for my muscles. I wish I could say that I look forward to the day when I don't have to take so much medication, but from what I have been told, that most likely will never happen :(

I think thats it for now. Hopefully the next update comes sooner then in 5 months lol.

Yay for summer!

I am so excited to have Kyle finally done with this semester of school! This last semester seemed like it has taken forever! maybe its because of all the stupid projects Kyle had to do. I am glad that he has a break from at least the stress of homework. Unfortunately, this is the summer that Kyle has to take the LSAT so instead of constant homework, it will be constant study to make sure he gets the best score possible. We are hoping that his GPA plus LSAT scores will be enough to get him into ASU. It would be great to only have to pay instate tuition for law school.

We are looking forward to spending time with family on camp outs and family reunions this summer and possibly a trip up to Utah in August (cross our fingers). We are also hoping to be able to attend the Primerica Builders Summit in July in L.A.

On the job front, the security selling job that Kyle was hoping to do decided to only work in Colorado Springs for a couple months. As much as we would love to go to Colorado for an adventure, our lease keeps us here :( So back to square one with looking for new jobs. My temporary job as a graphic designer has been AWFUL! mostly because of lack of training and the companies lack of organization and knowledge. I am still optimistic about the job as an enrollment processor but wont probably hear anything for a couple weeks. In the meantime, I am looking to expand my business Timeless Designs by kay, and Primerica. Timeless Designs is where I do custom photo art, retouching, announcements, business card designs, and general editing. Primerica is a financial business which specializes in helping families get out of debt and teaching them about saving money. They also do investments, and insurance. I started with them a few months ago after deciding to take things into my own hands for income. After lots of research on different financial companies, We decided that Primerica was the way to go. It truly is a company that has the clients best interest at heart.

Check out the Timeless Designs blog to see my work. www.TDbyKay.blogspot.com

Everyone is doing it...

It seems that the cool thing to do these days is to join the blogging world.
